After seeing this, I felt bad about getting it confused with “The Signal”. At least the in that movie they had a chance and they took advantage of the “R” rating. This story is just too choppy and a bit forceful with the point it is trying to make. It’s one thing when you see a movie and underlying tones come out, but it is completely different when you watch a movie that was basically made just to try and prove a point. It had some pretty creepy scenes dealing with an old lady and the thought of something like this happening made me think, but as soon as I thought about anything like that the next scene rolled along and made me wonder what the heck Shyamalan was thinking…again. If you’re a fan of Wahlberg and want to see all of his movies then maybe pick this one up as a rental, otherwise save yourself some time and maybe plant a tree instead....
